Comedian and content creator Samay Raina has launched India’s Got Latent S2, making the show available to viewers for free on YouTube. The move is expected to significantly expand the show’s reach, allowing a wider audience to watch new episodes without a paywall while continuing to engage with the creator’s growing online community.
Alongside the free episodes, YouTube Membership remains an optional way for fans to access exclusive perks and support the channel. With a membership priced at ₹59 per month, industry observers have discussed the platform’s revenue potential. If 10 lakh (1 million) subscribers were to purchase the membership, the gross monthly membership revenue would total approximately ₹5.90 crore (before YouTube’s platform fees, taxes, and other deductions).
While achieving one million paid members would be a significant milestone, the actual number of paying subscribers has not been publicly disclosed. Revenue from YouTube memberships also depends on platform policies and revenue-sharing arrangements.
The launch reflects the growing trend among digital creators of balancing free content with premium memberships to build larger audiences while creating sustainable revenue streams.
