A major health scare unfolded in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district after 147 girls from a government residential school reportedly fell ill following dinner at their hostel. The incident triggered an immediate medical response, with health officials rushing to provide treatment and investigate the suspected case of food poisoning.
According to officials, 102 students were admitted to the Chuda Community Health Centre, while 45 others were shifted to hospitals in Surendranagar for further medical care. The students reportedly complained of symptoms such as vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, and discomfort shortly after consuming their evening meal, prompting school authorities to seek emergency assistance.
District health officials confirmed that all the affected students are currently in stable condition and are receiving appropriate medical treatment. Doctors are closely monitoring their health, and no serious complications have been reported so far.
