Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured Kanwar Yatra pilgrims of full government support, emphasizing that the administration and security forces are committed to ensuring a safe and peaceful pilgrimage. Speaking in Shamli during the inauguration of development projects worth over ₹581 crore, Yogi urged devotees to uphold Lord Ram’s dignity (maryada), Lord Krishna’s values, and Lord Shiva’s simplicity. He appealed to pilgrims to avoid unruly behavior over minor issues and remain disciplined throughout the yatra. The Chief Minister also warned against anti-social elements allegedly attempting to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the annual pilgrimage.
